I did an in-person visit at Aurora Pond. It's a very nice place. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. We already were acquainted with it because we know family and friends that had been there; we already had a positive experience with it. It looked very nice. They did a good job. I didn't see any food, but those who had been there liked their food. The dining room was a little different because of the coronavirus.

I visited Aurora Pond. Its lovely and it's very nice. I really like it. It seems the people get along very well, the staff likes the residents, and the residents like the staff. There wasnt anything going on when I visited, but they have a lot of activities scheduled. The dining area was really nice; it was big, airy, and light. We saw the TV room, the club room, which is like their activities room. They have all that and it's all very nice. I like everything about the place. It's all really nice. I think the staff was great.

Aurora Pond is close to our doctor and the hospital, and they're also a part of Holiday communities. I saw the two-bedroom apartment and it was wonderful. The place was gorgeous, loved it. Kristin was great, and the two-bedroom was the only one available to see. I loved the way it looked. It's ideal for somebody who wants to be independent. The community looked very similar to one of its sister communities where my sister-in-law was in. It's smaller and didnt have the private room for when you want a party or a family get-together. That was the only thing I was disappointed in. Other than that, I know they offer a lot and it's on my bus line for the Go bus to take you anywhere that you want to go. It was the convenience of the place that I was more interested in and the view. My husband could sit on the porch, and he could watch people walking back and forth and watching the traffic. My overall experience was great, Kirstin was very helpful and gave me a lot of information. I was really very pleased.

We've been very pleased with Aurora Pond. The only thing is that it's an independent community, but there are residents who need more help instead of being just independent. My parents' apartment is nice and clean, and they have housekeeping services. They have been living there for many years and they think that the service has gone downhill. There has been a lot of turnover with different chefs, managers, and social workers. They wish the food was better, but maybe that's because they've been there for a long time. They have bingo, and there's no pool, but they have some exercise machines. They seem to have nice activities and they plan outings. It's the only place we saw that had these cottages. My parent's cottage was a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom with a big kitchen. It's owned by Holiday Incorporated, but not all of the Holiday homes have those cottage, so that's the reason why my folks chose that place.

My dad is living at Aurora Pond and it's good. His room is adequate and it is handicap-accessible with grab bars in the shower and lots of windows, which is nice. The staff is good. They have programs that my dad can go to.

Aurora Pond is very clean and well taken care of. The staff members all seem very friendly, and I haven't had any problems with any of them. The dining area looks very nice, like a restaurant. My mother hasn't complained about any of the food, so I'm assuming it's good. They have a lot of activities for the residents, they do some kind of exercise every day, walking groups, bingo, people come in and sing, arts class, and a lot of stuff. It's a studio apartment that my mother is in with a kitchenette area, a full bathroom, and a balcony.

I visited Aurora Pond. I’m a 59-1/2-year-old and it was very sad and very depressing. They weren’t my age, so it was not the place for me. The staff member I talked to was OK. She was the sales person and kept making the comment that she was going to wheel me in. The food was fair. They had a piece of chicken that had been boiled for a long time and had about one teaspoon full of spaghetti sauce with an awful lot of garlic in it. Then they had some noodles with just a tiny bit of sauce on them. I went to the cottages. They were very nice, clean, and had washers and dryers. They had pretty much everything that I needed and was looking for, but they were extremely expensive.
