Description of The Vernon Center

The Vernon Center is located along the Detroit River minutes from the heart of downtown Detroit, MI. This convenient location provides seniors access to multiple shopping and dining venues and a rich variety of recreational and cultural opportunities, including the nearby Belle Isle Aquarium and Nature Centers, Motown Museum and Detroit Institute of Arts.

An independent living community, The Vernon Center provides residents three meals a day, weekly laundry services and secured parking locations. Additional services are available a la carte, such as medication reminders, shower assistance and food tray handling.

The Vernon Center offers seniors the choice of several floor plan styles of furnished, move-in ready studios and one-bedroom apartments that are Wi-Fi and cable ready. Meals are presented with full table service in a community dining room, and individuals can speak with the chef about accommodating any personal allergies or special dietary restrictions. Weekly activities and social programs are created by the staff to encourage personal growth and wellness.
