Oxmoor Lodge was an excellent community. When my mom lived there, they had a resident manager around the clock. However, they transitioned away from having one of the managers there, so that's one of the reasons we moved her out. Depsite this, they have good activities, good food, and they provide good companionship. The only thing is that they transition their managers a lot. The appearance of the community is very nice.

I liked Oxmoor Lodge, it seemed to be very clean, and I didn't have any problems with that. The staff was very nice, and the people that lived there were very friendly, and I was very impressed. The only thing I didn't like was the size of the apartments. Also, there's no kitchen, there's just a counter with a sink against the wall and a real tiny refrigerator. The guide that gave me the tour was running me ragged. I have COPD, and he just walked us to death. He wasn't the person who was supposed to do the tour, and maybe that's why he didn't know what he was doing. The lady who was supposed to take us on the tour wasn't there that day. I tried the food and it was acceptable. It was not bad, but not very good either, because their chef just quit.

I liked the rooms at Oxmoor Lodge, and the people were very nice. The place was very nice, too. They have a computer room and a beauty shop. They also have nurse practitioners on site. The studio apartment that I chose is on the first floor and it's very convenient. They serve three meals a day, and they can take me to my doctors' appointments. They also provide housekeeping. The staff was very friendly.

Oxmoor Lodge was nice; I liked it. They had bingo, movie night, and a formal dining room with tablecloths. It was very nice. The staff was very courteous and friendly. They had transportation to church and the drugstore. Eric was especially nice and he was the one who met me and took me around. I was very pleased with the place and I would love to live there.

I like the location of Oxmoor Lodge. I think In the long run, we would select them if we decide to go that route. We decided to stay home or downsize because it's way too expensive to go to one of those places. We joined them for lunch, and it was OK. The houses were adequately sized but way too expensive. Overall, they should lower the cost, but the rest of it was fine.

My mother is a resident of Oxmoor Lodge and she chose it. The apartment is roomy, and she liked the activities that were previously available. Before COVID, she was doing several of the activities. The only complaint she has is about the food; she doesn't care for it. They've been bringing the meals to her room. It's a one-bedroom apartment, but they offer different types of rooms. They had bingo, they had people come in and play music, they did crafts, painting, and they had some exercise classes. There's a wide variety of things to do and the residents can choose what works best for them. They have exercises, an area behind the building that has chairs, when it rains there's a little creek that runs behind it, and she really enjoys it. She can see it from her room. They have a pool room, a movie area, a table with checkers set down in the hallway, and a hairdresser comes down once or twice a week. They're short staffed, they've had a management change, but most of the staff members that I've encountered were very friendly and helpful to my mom. She found one person she's most comfortable with. Fortunately, they've never had a case of COVID in the facility, and so they've done a great job.
