We decided on Mallard Point for dad, and we just signed the lease yesterday. He'll probably move in next month. We chose it for location mainly to where we live, the location is very much where everything he likes, grocery stores, being just wherever he shops. The rooms were spacious enough for my dad, the staff was very pleasant, but did not have everything that you could have had because of COVID, but it seemed good. There are three meals included, activities that they do amongst the residents, and activities put on by the staff as well, but it's limited right now because of COVID.

I'm well settled in Mallard Point. I have been here for two months now. My daughter lives 10 minutes from here. I have a nice-sized one-bedroom apartment. They have an atrium area where you can sit on chairs or couches and visit with other people. They provide just about anything. We eat three meals a day and have activities like music, games, church services, getting your hair fixed, bingo, and coloring group. They also have a chat time where you can go to the activity room and have coffee, which stands out for me. The staff members seem very helpful and hardworking. They are wonderful. I have never heard an unkind word nor seen them do anything that would be considered not nice.

We were pleased with Mallard Point and we liked -- my husband just didn’t like the fact that it was more than one floor since he is suffering from a recent stroke. He liked the people, but he just didn’t click with the place. Everybody was very friendly and the accommodations were wonderful, but I did find the apartments on the smaller side.

Mallard Point was very nice. It was a very nice tour. It was very impressive, but I thought it was a little pricey. I looked at a 2-bedroom, and it was very spacious and very nice. The staff was very nice, very polite and very good. Three meals a day are included. If I'm ready to do it again, I wanna see them again. They had house cleaning and a place to do your laundry, but I would like to do my own laundry in my own room and I don't want to be walking down the hall. With this COVID, there was nothing much going on. I think they had a small fitness room and a place off the lobby like if I watch TV. I wouldn't do much of that anyway; I'd do it in my own apartment.
