Palmer Hills is a proud member of Holiday Retirement, a network of more than 300 independent senior communities. Since 1971, we have led the industry with innovative programs that address the complete lifestyle needs and interests of seniors.
Accommodations at Palmer Hills are offered in studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments in a variety of floor plans. Each unit is outfitted with a private bathroom, kitchenette, individually controlled thermostat and emergency call system.
To make our community feel more like a home, we invite residents to keep pets in their rooms. We also offer the option of a private dining room to use when guests are visiting or celebrating a special occasion. Residents enjoy three delicious and nutritious meals a day prepared from scratch by our house chefs.
If you take a close look around our community, you may notice that a few of our residents stand out. These are our Community Managers, who live on site to provide 24-hour support and security. You'll see them sharing a meal with residents in our dining room, attending one of our social events and taking the time to make sure each and every one of our residents feel welcomed and included.
We understand that each individual is unique and that needs may change over time. Holiday does not provide any health care services. However, residents are welcome to receive services from any outside home health care provider of their choice to help them continue enjoying life at our community.
With an ideal location that balances privacy with easy access to a vibrant community, Palmer Hills is a superb choice for seniors.

My aunt moved into Palmer Hills. So far, it's great. We haven't had any problems with it. The rooms are excellent. The staff is excellent so far. They're helpful. She hasn't been there long enough, and I haven't observed any activity yet. They have Good Samaritan nurses, a dining room, washer and dryer facilities, television and phone put in, and buttons if they need something during the night. It's a great facility. I haven't talked to her about the food, but everybody that I talked to there loves it.
Palmer Hills is a very friendly, very active, and very clean community. The employees are very friendly. They have quite a bit of fun activities that aren't all exercise classes like that. The food is good and tasty. They have several varieties that you could order, not one item.
My dad is in Palmer Hills. It seems OK. He has only been there for a little over a week. So far all of the people who work there have been very accommodating and nice, which is very good. The location is very nice; it is in a very nice neighborhood of Bettendorf. The place is kept up good. My dad's apartment has a few small things that I thought for the price we are paying could be fixed up a little nicer, but it makes up for how nice the people are. He is in one of the smallest ones they have. It is good enough for him because there are lots of common areas that he could get out into. Basically, it is just really to sleep. It has a bathroom, which is a separate room and has a big walk-in closet. For a single person, that's probably enough for them because they all eat in a different area that is like a restaurant and there are a lot of common areas to sit. They have a big van that will take you to doctor's appointments that only runs Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It would really be nice if it was Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The food is good, though.
Palmer Hills' apartments aren't bad. The studio they showed me was kind of small, and the 1- and 2-bedroom ones were kind of expensive. They have certain things on certain days. The dining area was spacious and clean. The staff was very cordial. I have Dish Network and they only allow cable TV in there, so maybe that might be an amenity that they might want to include in the future. The place is very nice and the food was pretty good.
