My mother was a resident for 5 days. They let her sit and rot in a wheelchair for 2 days without liquids. We found her unresponsive in the dining room with a body temp of 92 and blue hands and feet. No staff noticed her condition. She died 6 days later. The administration could not have cared less.

Hanover Place is new and clean. The downside that we saw was everything was à la carte, so you have to pay for everything. The staff answered all our questions. She was very honest with us, and she showed us around. It was the weekend, so there was nothing happening. We didn't try any meals, but we just saw an open dining area. They have a weight room and bingo, so it seems like they have some amenities.

Hanover Place was nice. They had a big area when you first walk in with a pool table and a fireplace. It looked clean. The sitting area looked nice, they had a little cafe that you can buy food from, and they had a cinema. The staff was very nice, very friendly, and showed me the calendar for the week of the activities that they can pick from. Everyone's welcoming, too. When someone new comes in, the other residents there make them feel comfortable and feel at home.

Porter Place is so far going OK. There are things that we kind of have to go through. People are a little bit mobile in memory care, but they dont have the good judgment to not touch other people's items, so that's the only problem. It's not their fault but that's the situation. It's a relatively new place and clean. Everything is pretty much well-maintained, although I wish there were cameras in the room. They have nice activities for the residents. They don't have Medicaid, so if we run out of funds, we're going to have to leave, and that's the hard part. I wish I was paying less.

We chose Porter Place for my mom because when we toured it, it was a good fit for her. The food is amazing, and they have a lot of activities that stimulate her physically and mentally. So they keep her busy, and go on field trips. They had an Easter egg hunt for the family members, exercises and games, and then after lunch they also do a game, or craft, or sing-along or baking. They have a schedule for the week that tells you everything theyre doing all the hours of the day. Its really organized. My mom is higher functioning than other clients, so she can participate in things like bingo or blackjack. The building itself is beautiful.

I live in Hanover Place. It's very good, but we just got new management and I'm waiting to see what happens. I have two bedrooms and two baths and they're nice sized rooms. We only get breakfast here. The staff members are all very pleasant. We have cable, internet, and breakfast included with our rent. We take trips at least twice a week and outings to the grocery store, restaurant or entertainment. We have entertainment that comes in to the building once a month, and we have activities within the building also. However, it's now pet friendly, and the pets are all over, and I don't like that they're allowed to go anywhere. They have a theater room and an exercise room.

My dad was at Tinley Court for five years. It was very nice, very clean, and very friendly. They had good food, and it was reasonably priced. It was perfect. They had all kinds of activities, like bingo, music, movie night, and church activities on Sunday. The staff was very good and very nice.

Bickford of Tinley Park was nice and clean. I loved it and the dining area. The rooms were a nice size. The view was beautiful. The staff took me to the exercise room, which was nice. The residents were in the relaxing area watching TV.
