Life is filled with possibilities for growth and friendship - that's our philosophy at Westminster Place, and this is evident throughout our 40-acre campus. From engaging activities, such as Adventure Week, kayaking on the Chicago River and visits to the Lincoln Park Zoo, to health care services available at the on-site McGaw Care Center, you will discover that life is perfect here.

Westminster Place is one of five communities owned by Presbyterian Homes. For more than 100 years, our nonprofit, faith-based organization has served older adults from diverse backgrounds throughout the greater Chicago area. We strive to be an industry leader in developing innovative and quality residential programs that enrich the lives of older adults.

Whatever your hobby, you will find a place to practice and showcase it for other residents to see. If you enjoy gardening, there are garden spaces available and our annual Festival of Roses is loved by everyone. There is also a hobby shop for woodworking enthusiasts, and a fine arts studio where you can work on a piece for our annual art show.

Westminster Place features a variety of living options for you to choose from, whether you are looking to downsize to a one- or two-bedroom apartment or want the privacy that a two-bedroom townhouse or cottage offers. You will appreciate the conveniences of full kitchens and spacious rooms, and there are floor plans with a patio or washer/dryer option.

Available Services

Even with a kitchen in your home, you will likely find yourself taking the night off and joining friends in the community dining room for chef-prepared meals - and for a lighter, more casual setting, there is a grill. Other conveniences that you will appreciate include an on-site beauty salon/barbershop, a computer center, the Kimble Fitness and Therapeutic Center and a gift store.

But the most important feature of our community is our commitment to caring for you, now and in the future. As your health care needs evolve, we have the services available, whether is it assisted living at The Highlands at Westminster Place, memory care at the Frank B. Foster Pavilion or skilled nursing at the McGaw Care Center, so you may age in place and never leave your beloved home.
