I liked Sunrise a lot, but it's old. They're going to replace the carpet and do other renovations, but I did not want my in-laws living somewhere like that. The rooms were fine.
Sunrise at Orchard was beautiful. The people were nice. The reason I chose not to go there is because they were extremely pricey. The dining area was very nice. Their amenities were the same as in other places. If you want extra things, like Mother getting her hair or nails done, I thought that was quite pricey.
Sunrise at Orchard was a beautiful place, but they didn't have a room at that time. It would have worked out well. They had a wing for memory care with really nice rooms. It looked to me like everyone was being taken care of and happy. It was just a very nice place. In the memory care wing, there was a room with tables and chairs and TV and comfortable dining room furniture. The rest of the building was a huge, gorgeous place. It looked like everyone was just doing great.
We had a guide that showed us around Sunrise at Orchard. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The hallways and the dining area looked very lovely. It was mostly assisted living and total skilled nursing care. The price was too much than what we could afford, and the parking situation was terrible. However, I liked the appearance on the outside.
