I visited this facility
Atria Collwood is a facility where everything is provided for you, that includes the food, transportation, and help with medical appointments. They had one-room units, and a very nice, and very caring staff. I think they're a group of people that really like what they do, and they seemed to really like each other. The facility is not brand new, but still very well-maintained. They have an exercise room, a library, a community dining area, and common areas with a rose garden. It's a pretty extensive place. They do exercise every day and provide care for your daily needs in terms of meals. Right now, because of COVID, they bring the meals to the people rather than using the community space, but there were some people who were in the community area who were spaced six feet apart. They observed all of those rules. I think it's a positive environment for anyone that's in the position of having to have assisted living, even if I am not at that point yet.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My relative is in Atria Collwood. It's nice, clean and the people are very nice. However, the facility is older and not as appealing to the eye as some of the newer ones. I've been there at lunchtime and the food looked hot and varied. However, they don't offer nursing care or anything beyond assisted living. She's right at the limit of what they can provide, but they're doing the best they can at this point.
