I visited this facility
Oakmont of Fresno was first class. When we got there, they had a sign and a bouquet of flowers saying welcome with my name on it. They knew we were coming and everything was prepared. I was really impressed with not only the way the rooms looked, but also the staff. The smell was wonderful and the restaurant was wonderful. It was just exceptionally nice and they had lots of activities like groups for crosswords, somebody playing piano and singing, and a group that went to play golf. There's also a barber and beauty shop. It's just very expensive, more than $6,000 a month, and that's cost-prohibitive.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My friend was in Oakmont of Fresno for 6 weeks. The service was great. It was a perfect fit. He was in hospice, but it was like coming home. The staff and the administrators were excellent. We had to put him in a memory care unit from assisted living and they eased it in gently and beautifully. They were wonderful.

I visited this facility
Oakmont was really close to Mom's house, and it was only two miles from the house. They don't have a 2-bedroom available, only a 1-bedroom. They have less activities, but it's centrally located, and she can do more shopping there.
