Silver Creek Assisted Living was nice, but it did not offer the medical care I needed, and so it wasn’t the right place for me. The staff was good and answered my questions. They used to be motel rooms, each room has its own bathroom, but the room they showed was under construction, so it did not look nice. They only have one elevator, and if that goes out, I can’t go up and down the stairs, and they have 3 levels.

I'm in here and everybody that works here is great. I really like them. I'm up on top, and I have a nice, good sized living room, an area for a dining room table, my own bedroom and a bath. The kitchen is small. It has a sink, a cupboard, a refrigerator, and a microwave. We can't cook here other than with a microwave, but it's nice. We all have good windows to look out. They have a gym with two bicycles and a treadmill, a chapel, a theater, a room upstairs for painting and doing artwork, and a beauty parlor. We play bingo three times a week, we have tea and cookies and just talk, movies every Sunday night, and a bus that takes us to lunch every Friday, and they'll take you and pick you up to the doctors. It's very clean. The staff is excellent. The food is getting better because someone new took over. They have patios on both sides you can go out the patio at the front with nice seats.

My visit here was absolutely wonderful. Stephanie was great, and everything was really impressive. Everything about the place was extremely clean, it looked very comfortable and just had a very good and homey kind of feel. I very much like the amenities, specially the pool.

I toured Flower's Assisted Living, and I did not like that facility. It felt like a prison, and the people were so drugged up that they were like zombies. It's a memory care facility, and that's understandable, but I find it very cluttered, and not welcoming. There wasn't much there. The staff seemed very rushed; it felt like we were taking time out of her day, and I did not get a very good, warm feeling. I don't want to be placed there.

It was nice, but it had more of a nursing home feel to it. They had a pool. When you walk in, there was a reception desk and the girl showed us two different rooms, but they didn't have a studio or a shared room. The facility was clean and the dining room was very nice. Walking down the halls gave you that feeling that you were in a hospital corridor or a nursing home corridor.
