Sunrise of Gilbert was very nice. The lady we talked to was very informative. She had a lot of good information to give us about transitioning from independent living into assisted living. I was impressed. Also, my niece-in-law's grandfather was there, and they liked Sunrise. We had lunch and it was very good. The service was excellent. They were lovely. It was very impressive. I would consider the location for my mother. It's just that it's a little far away from our house. It's about a 20-minute ride from our home, which is a little longer than I want it, but I'm still keeping it on my list because it was very nice and the people were very friendly. I loved that they had a dog there in the lobby. They have their own pet therapy. I liked their ideas. They give a 2-hour range or they have open dining all day long. The residents we met and talked to were wonderful. It's an older place and some of the windows were a little dirty and a little dusty. It's big, so there's a lot to take care of regarding maintenance and the cleanliness. That could use a little work.

Sunrise of Gilbert was fantastic. It was a little bit higher end than the other place. It was beautiful. I didn't engage with anything other than tour the facility. The person that assisted me was very nice. They had a nice dining area. It was a top class place. The reason I didn't choose it is because of the price.

Sunrise of Gilbert is a nice place, but I was not that impressed. I did not like that the memory care was on the third floor. I did not feel comfortabler. It looked well staffed although I did not have as much interaction with them. I knew that they had scheduled breakfast, lunch, and dinner and that was one thing that we didn’t want.

Mother was placed in Sunrise. It’s fantastic, and I can’t say enough about it. They have studios, one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, and a bathroom.

The food at Sunrise of Gilbert was excellent, but my overall experience was not. Their airconditioning was too noisy, both in the rooms and in the common areas. The pool and jacuzzi were very small. They had an exercise room, bridge, cards, and other activities.

Sunrise was a really nice place but more expensive, and I don’t like that my friend had to go up and down an elevator. The amenities were excellent. The ladies all said hello and showed me the crafts.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

My sister has lived at Sunrise of Gilbert for about a year now. Although it was one of the hardest decisions to make to move her into an independent living facility (she was only 61 years old), it was the best decision we made as a family. She absolutely loves it and we love visiting her. The activities are phenomenal, the staff is loving (the housekeepers give ME a hug every time they see me) and the food is fantastic! Andrew, who runs Sunrise of Gilbert, is a truly caring man and that caring presence trickles down throughout the entire staff. I would highly recommend Sunrise of Gilbert for someone who needs minimal care in their independent living, or a higher level of care in their assisted living or memory care.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

I was looking for a facility that was similar to what my mother was living in back east as I was in the process of moving her from NJ to AZ so that I could take care of her. When I met the staff at Sunrise and then toured the facility, I knew this was the place for her. I had visited over 15 different facilities within a 20 mile radius of where I live in Tempe, AZ and this was head and shoulders above many of them. I truly appreciated the staff, facility and what appeared to be very happy people there. After one year I can say the staff is super, they pay attention to the needs and the habits of the residents, they work hard to keep them busy & happy and the management is dedicated to making the residents lives fulfilling. This is a great place to live for seniors who want to continue to interact with others but still want a little "independence and privacy".
