Brookdale Chandler Regional

Brookdale Chandler Regional was a very nice facility, very clean, but more than double in price. The staff was very informative. The dining area was very nice, and they serve food 24 hours, so anytime someone’s hungry they just go there, which was nice. They have a full calendar of events. It wasn’t depressing, it was clean, open, and light. If you’re in independent living, and you have to switch to assisted living, you don’t have to move out of your apartment, they brought the appropriate services to you.

Brookdale Chandler Regional was a nice community. My visit was pretty good. The rooms were small and very hospital-like, it would take some work to make it cozy. The staff seemed nice, and my impression of them was pretty good. They had all the residents out of their rooms, and that's what I like about it. They had someone singing there, and the residents were all clapping and singing as well. The places I've seen were not as nice as this one. It seemed pretty clean.

Brookdale Chandler Regional had all the amenities. The problem I had was that it's very expensive, but I liked it. They had Bingo, card games, all sort of movies, basically anything you wanted to do. The staff member was very good. She showed us everything that we needed to look at and answered all our questions. We had lunch there and it was good. It was very clean. They offer housekeeping and laundry service once a week. They have a hair salon for the women. My doctor is only a half mile away, but they have a bus service. They basically covered everything that we were looking for. The only problem I had was I'm a Veteran and I am looking for aid and attendance from the VA. That's the only thing that's holding me back from making my decision. They have three meals, plus anytime you want to eat during the day, they have it for you. I also liked the fact that Brookdale has a lot of places that you can choose from. You're not locked into Arizona. If you want to move to a different state, they have places there too.

I live in Brookdale Chandler and like it very much. The place is very nice. People are very friendly. I like my apartment. The food is good. I have met some wonderful friends. I know there are lots of activities, but I moved here three weeks ago, and I'm trying so hard to get settled; I'm having a hard time. I think the price is OK. I have looked at other places that offered less than this one does, but I have an apartment that has a bedroom and a living room, so I'm very happy with that.
