Centrally located on historic Doty Island in the heart of Neenah, Island Shores Independent and Assisted Living is a vibrant senior community offering some of the best retirement living Wisconsin has to offer. Our spacious apartment homes come in a selection of studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans and feature plush carpeting, large windows and full kitchens. For residents who prefer to leave the cooking up to us, meals are served in our formal dining room and drinks are available in our elegant lounge.

I visited this facility
Island Shores was very nice. The only thing that we didn't like about it was that it was in Neenah and we were looking for something in Appleton. However, they did have pretty much all the amenities and it was very clean. The unit was very roomy. They also had a nice breakfast facility and they serve rolls and coffee in the morning. They provide 3 meals a day.

I visited this facility
Island Shores was a very nice place. It was close to downtown, which is important to me. I like to exercise at the Y and it's about a half a block away. Everybody seemed very friendly. The dining area was cozy. The person who accommodated me during the tour was great.

I visited this facility
The atmosphere at Island Shores was great for old people like me. It's very good. It had several stories and you'll use an elevator to get to any of them, which is very convenient. They serve breakfast and lunch. They have an on-board medical facility and several social activities like playing cards, game boards, and things of that nature. We spoke to the manager, and I found the staff to be very friendly and excellent.
