Island Shores was a very nice place. It was close to downtown, which is important to me. I like to exercise at the Y and it's about a half a block away. Everybody seemed very friendly. The dining area was cozy. The person who accommodated me during the tour was great.

The atmosphere at Island Shores was great for old people like me. It's very good. It had several stories and you'll use an elevator to get to any of them, which is very convenient. They serve breakfast and lunch. They have an on-board medical facility and several social activities like playing cards, game boards, and things of that nature. We spoke to the manager, and I found the staff to be very friendly and excellent.

Island Shores was very nice. The only thing that we didn't like about it was that it was in Neenah and we were looking for something in Appleton. However, they did have pretty much all the amenities and it was very clean. The unit was very roomy. They also had a nice breakfast facility and they serve rolls and coffee in the morning. They provide 3 meals a day.
