We are also located next to a country club for residents interested in golfing, swimming, and dining outside of the community.  Within Morgantown there are walking paths, areas to fish on the lake, multiple museums, creative arts center, and senior centers.  These are just a few common attractions within Morgantown.

Residents range in age from 62 to upper 90's.  They really enjoy participating in activities such as strength for life (exercise class), arts and crafts, and much more. Residents enjoy the food during dining times and love to socialize while they eat.

What transportation services does {provider.name} offer to assisted living residents?

Most all the food is made from scratch so ingredients are fresh and residents really appreciate a homemade meal.  Menu's are structured to always have an "A La Carte" or "available anytime menu" for individuals to have a variety to pick from.  Harmony consistently has two chef special options for every meal which changes on a daily basis.  Servers wear formal clothes with black pants, white dress shirts, and bowties to provide a more fine dining meal experience.  Every resident is treated with respect and the servers work with everyone to ensure they understand the food offerings being made in the kitchen.  

What makes the chef or dining program at {provider.name} exceptional? What kind of menu can assisted living residents expect?

Every resident has the right to use their own private phone to communicate with loved ones.  However, if there is an event that families need to be notified we reach out via phone, email, or mail to inform support members of the residents about the event.  We also conduct care plan meetings to discuss recent changes in condition, updates, or scheduled follow up meetings.  For special events or support group meetings we send out emails to inform families of upcoming activities.

What ongoing senior care training does the staff receive?

All residents have emergency pull cords located in their bathroom and one in the bedroom.  We also offer necklace pendants for residents to push the button in the event they need assistance.  Every doorway and toilet seat complies with ADA standards. There are also no step over tubs in the bathroom with all walk in showers with shower sets connected to the wall.  There are apartments with all laminate flooring as well as some that have carpet that is more compact and suitable for wheelchairs, rollators, and walkers.

Every resident has their own set of keys to their door and mailbox.  These keys can lock/unlock their door handle lock or deadbolt on their door.  The doors of entry lock at 8pm and reopen at 7am for visitors/guests.  Every person is required to sign in and sign out on a visitor, vendor, or resident log sheet.  There are cameras all around the exterior of the building and Harmony subcontracts a security officer if and when necessary.

Not for Independent Living.  However, at times, IL residents can receive assistance from 3rd party resources such as a companion service, home health provider, or hospice.
