I visited this facility

I have been to it several times. The lady who took us around, Teri, was really nice, very informative, enthusiastic, and very helpful. The place seemed very clean and tidy, and the residents I saw all seemed very happy. My sister loves it. I personally thought it was very small, but it's not for me, and I don't have a lot of experience with this. But she likes this place, so we didn't go any further. The communication was great in the beginning with lots of phone calls and follow-ups, but now we're struggling with communication. I know they're pet friendly, they have a library, and they seem to have a lot of activities.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom is a resident. It is great. The place is amazing. She has a studio, and they have 1- and some 2-bedrooms. They have cottages as well. They go on trips, and they have different activities that they do daily. If a person says he/she likes to try something, the staff tries to figure out some way of making it happen. They have a library there. The people can also go and stay at other places that the corporation owns free of charge in different states in the continental U.S., so that's pretty cool.

Business Response

Hi Anita, we could not be happier your mom loves calling The Virginian home. Our staff strives to make everyday great for our residents. Please stop by anytime for lunch!

I visited this facility

It was excellent. I liked the friendliness and the cleanliness. They were very thorough with showing us their programs, and they showed us an actual room and they sat down and talked to us about the options that were available. We looked at one room which would be sufficient for my mother. It's very nice, the grounds are absolutely gorgeous, and it had a nice patio. The entire place was very clean. They offered things that my mother would be interested in like book clubs, ice cream socials, spiritual services, religious services, and they even had Bible study groups. The staff was very polite, great customer service, they were very friendly, and very knowledgeable.

I visited this facility

Everything was really nice. It's all-inclusive so they have a chef that prepares your meals, people come and get your laundry, there are medical doctors that they use, and transportation; everything a retired person could want. It wasn't that expensive either. When I was there, they were doing some activities.

I visited this facility

It was okay. The woman who gave us the tour was very nice, but she seemed to prefer to talk about other things than the actual place. She didn't have as much information about what went on there and how things worked. She preferred to talk about vitamins and keeping yourself healthy. It wasn't a bad place. It seemed clean, but a little smaller and a little less open and bright than the others. They had this glass elevator in the atrium, so that when you need to go up or down, you could see the whole atrium, which was interesting. I saw people being comfortable and feeling at home there. It definitely had a homey vibe to it. There were places around where people could sit that were comfortable.

Business Response

Hi Marci, we appreciate this feedback. If you have any further questions about our community, please feel free to reach out to our Sales Leader! We hope to see you again soon.

I am/was a resident of this facility

It is cheerful, clean, and safe. The management seems to be very caring and understanding. The wait staff is very considerate and respectful of the tenants' needs and eccentric behaviors. At this point, I have no major negatives about the community. The activities are fine. The administrative staff seems to be knowledgeable and caring. The food is institutional but pretty good. I've only been here for two weeks.

The people were very nice and professional. The place was nice and clean, and I liked the way it was laid out. More importantly, the price was right. They really impressed me.
