My mother-in-law is in Sunrise at Reston Town Center. It looks very nice. The staff is attentive and professional. My mother-in-law doesn't do a lot of the activities, but we never expected her to. The miracle is that she tried them, and I'm sure it was one of the therapists or life consultants that got her to even try, so that was impressive. There is music, prayers, and a couple of field trips. My mother-in-law looked better now than she ever has, and she's clearly getting healthy, decent, regular nutrition that she obviously wasn't getting by herself. She looked better cared for than she was 25 years ago.

Sunrise at Reston Town Center is a wonderful organization and they provide ultimate care. My husband is in memory care there and I'm very happy with them. I saw the variety of food they provide which looks really good, and they give each client an option of two different plates they can pick from. They move the tables and chairs in the dining area to provide space for the residents to sit and do different physical activities. They pass a beach ball around or engage the residents in different things like cooking or so on.

Sunrise at Reston Town Center was generally very good, but it's much higher in cost than other places. The executive leadership and the staff were very good, and they're very attentive, but there were little things where they're not. They have the buzzers around their necks to call somebody when there's emergency or when they need some caregivers, and the response time was not always so great. The food was good. My father got some dental issues, so they cut up the food, almost mincing it so that he could consume it. They're essentially feeding him.

My mom is in Sunrise at Reston Town Center now. The director is wonderful, a very good communicator, very warm, caring, doing an excellent job, and very responsive to all my concerns. I did have some concerns when we first moved in, and he addressed them all. The whole group is very responsive. The memory care coordinator is awesome, very warm and caring person, very responsible to my needs and my mom's needs. The staff is wonderful. I have no complaints about them. They're making an effort to engage my mom. At first, she was sleeping a lot, but she seems to be adapting well, and she considers it her home now. I requested to reserve a dining room so I could bring her a meal, and the staff was very attentive and brought everything we needed. She has been eating the food, is happy with it, and said it's delicious. They're not doing any heavy sugars or processed food, and it looks healthy. The facilities are very nice. If I want to be alone with her, I got to go in her bedroom or I have to go upstairs because there's no real private space. Other than that, it is clean, presentable, and comparable in price with other places. They have things planned all the time.
