<p>Runk & Pratt at Forest specializes exclusively in Memory Support for residents living with dementia and Alzheimer's Disease and was built specifically with these needs in mind. Designed to have an open feel, residents may choose to visit anywhere within the building, actively enjoying any of the three enclosed courtyards or greenhouse. This secured residence creates a home-like environment that helps to minimize the confusion and agitation that often accompanies these illnesses. Runk & Pratt at Forest offers a peaceful, intimate setting with a private dining room, spacious common areas, and lots of windows.</p>

<h4>Medical Care</h4>
<p>The medical care we provide at Runk & Pratt is more than sufficient for any possible need. All of our communities proudly boast on-site certified nursing assistants, nursing assistants, and registered med aids. All medical activity at our Forest community is overseen by our licensed medical service director as well as our licensed nurse practitioner.
In addition to these qualified medical professionals, our Forest community benefits from the services of our consulting geriatric psychiatrist. All medication needed is available through a local, licensed pharmacy delivered directly to Runk & Pratt communities.</p>

<p>At each Runk & Pratt Senior Living Community, we develop an individualized service plan upon admission with resident, family, and doctor input. Weekly physician appointments, physical therapy sessions, and lab services are performed on-site. Highly trained nurses are staffed 24/7, providing immediate attention to emergency medical issues. Nurses are also available to help residents follow prescribed, individual care, and medicinal treatments throughout a normal daily routine. </p>

<p>All medical activity at the Liberty Ridge Community is overseen by our Licensed Medical Service Director and our Licensed Nurse Practitioner, as well as on-staff registered nurses. Residents are able to receive care from our in-house medical director and physician clinic. In addition to these qualified medical professionals, Liberty Ridge benefits from the services of our consulting geriatric psychiatrist and regularly scheduled podiatry and dental visits. All medication needed within any of our Communities is available from our licensed pharmacy.</p>

<p>Just across the street from our Liberty Ridge community is Pearls of Life, a brand new Memory Support building customized specifically for seniors who struggle with Alzheimer's Disease or other forms of dementia. Pearls of Life offers a secure, peaceful setting with spacious common areas, and an abundance of windows and light.  Along with industry leading care and medical oversight, we provide the region's most innovative advances in memory support, all designed to help sooth residents and promote positive interactions with staff and family members. </p>

<h4>Innovative Support</h4>
<p>Pearls of Life features Snoezelen rooms (multi-sensory rooms), an industry-leading concept that provides a calming effect on residents living with Alzheimer's disease. Hallways integrate one-of-a-kind interactive environments where residents can draw shapes, play games, and move objects around simply by touching the wall.</p>

 <p>Several multi-sensory life skill centers are equipped with familiar objects, such as a rotary telephone, display train set, military uniforms, as well as vintage ovens, cabinets, cribs, and washing machines that enable residents to interact, to be stimulated, and to recall every day life experiences.</p>

<p>All of these advances in care are designed to reduce the risk of aggressive behavior, improve overall mood, and even reduce the amount of medication needed. Studies show that the mood shift caused by the Snoezelen environment increases self-esteem, reduces inhibitions, and gives residents confidence in themselves, reducing the risk of self-injury by 75%.</p>

<h4>Living</h4>
<p>At Pearls of Life at Liberty Ridge, the building itself is designed to facilitate the care of our seniors in a number of ways, including a community area called Main Street, designed to look like an old-fashioned line of shops, enclosed outdoor gardens and central patios where residents can safely enjoy sunshine and fresh air, windows and skylights throughout to maximize the natural light, and continuous floor plans so residents can walk without reaching dead ends.Residents enjoy private, spacious rooms and furnishings are classic yet comfortable, so seniors feel right at home as soon as they walk through the door.</p>

<p>Runk & Pratt constantly enriches the lives of our residents by keeping a calendar full of events that engage our seniors mentally, physically, and spiritually.  Full-time activities directors work with healthcare professionals to ensure that the events bring true health and happiness to our residents.
