I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Rehab was good, we loved the wonderful man that got my mom up and going. BUT we were taken back by our experiences that were shocking some days. The first few days, my mom was so upset and wanted to go home. Aids offered help but never came back--Mom was told she needed help going to the bathroom, hard to get help, left mom on toilet one hour..Mom has lymphoma and gout. She pulled the emergency button six times, NOTHING. She banged on the wall. At one point she was in a lot of pain and tried and tried to move for relief. She about toppled over twice. I KNOW FOR A FACT workers ignored her light midday. --someone came in to give mom meds and made sure we understood she was in a hurry, brought in a cup of pudding that had already been used. I only saw one spoon and she double dipped, did she for others?? Covid?? Lied about Medicare-pay them back if discharged mom early. Nope -three days rule with Medicare. She said it can get nasty- well lying is nasty. I could go on but limit

I visited this facility

I visited The Seville in Orem. What I liked most was the openness. It was a little smaller so it is very easy to get around. I thought the beauty shop was very cute and I really liked it. I love the laundry facility, I thought it is very spacious and well set-up. Some activities were going on around and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. I really just like it. I do not even have anything negative about it. I cannot think of anything to say against it because it was what I wanted. The staff, Josh, did a great job. He was very thorough: made sure we had everything answered, made follow-up calls, and he was excellent.

I thought that Legacy Village of Provo looked nice, it's just more money than we'd be able to spend. The people that I talked to were very nice and pleasant. They showed me a couple of studios, then I saw the eating area and things like that, and they were very clean. I saw their game or puzzle room; they showed me a sitting room, library, the lunchroom , and the meeting room as well. It looked really clean and well-maintained; they were cleaning the carpets when we were there.

Legacy Village of Provo was very nice. It had all the amenities that I need, and all the activities that I would enjoy. Their dining hall looked very good, too. Their apartment is just a little smaller than what I have right now, but it would work and shouldn't be a problem. The price was also good, and they treated me well. The staff was only able to show me the one-bedroom. I was more interested in the two-bedroom, but it was still really nice. They have movies, people who come in to perform, bingo, a game time that they organized, and a pool table. Their location is kind of perfect for where I would want to be, because it's right down from that college. I can go up to the canyons and down to the river to fish.

We're putting mom in Bel Aire Senior Living today. They're very nice, and I really like it. The price range is something we can afford, and they're really working with me and my mom. She had to go on hospice, and they arranged to have it taken care of. Last Friday, I got to see the apartments, and they were clean and nice. The staff was probably one of the nicest people I've ever worked with, which is a relief when you're dealing with a lot of stress and worrying about what you’re going to do with your parent. They were just so understanding. They gave good suggestions on what to do, and they were just excellent and really, really nice people. My mom would be in the assisted living. Her memory is just fine, she just has really bad health. We haven't had any food, and I haven't even looked at the menu. All I know is that my mom didn't like all of the food in the rehabs and hospitals and all the places she's been. They said she can kind of pick what she wants. She can just have sandwiches and that's the way she eats. She doesn't need meat and all that, and it's great that she can pick what she wants. They have a lot of activities, but she hasn't had any yet because we haven't moved her in. The halls were wide, so that if she would have to be in a wheelchair, there's plenty of room for somebody to push her around in it. The sitting area in the entrance was really, really cute and really nice inside. It was clean, real bright and cheerful. Older people would like to sit there and look out the window. It wasn't dark and dingy. I like that this place is kind of in a residential area because my mom especially likes to look out her window and see what's going on. She will be able to see people walking around by their homes. I just think it's overall really a good fit for my mom.
