Veterans Affairs Aid and Assistance Program 
 
Veterans and survivors who need help paying for their care in assisted living facilities may be able to receive funding from the Veterans Affairs Aid and Assistance Program. Qualified seniors can receive an increased monthly VA pension, and this additional monthly assistance can be used to pay for senior care. 
 
To qualify for assistance through this program, seniors must be eligible to receive a VA pension. In addition, they must require aid from another person to perform some of their daily personal functions, such as eating or bathing. Seniors may also qualify if they are a patient in a nursing home, bedridden or legally blind. 
 
Seniors who are interested in this program can apply in person at the <a href="https://www.benefits.va.gov/saltlakecity/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Salt Lake City Regional Benefits Office</a>, located at 550 Foothill Dr. in Salt Lake City.
