We liked Arbor House of Weatherford the best. It was very nice, and the staff was really good. Their apartments were great and really nice. It impressed me more than anything else I've seen.
We went to Arbor House of Weatherford. It was great. My friend wanted a bigger place where I could move in with her. The room that they showed was exactly what she would have needed. It would have been a perfect deal. The walk-in closet space had plenty of room. The bathroom had handicapped amenities. It seemed clean to me. Their food was family-type and OK. I only saw a few staff members, and they seemed OK. It would have been a nice place for my friend. I think she would have gotten some good care there.
We liked the fact that Arbor House of Weatherford had flexibility of different plans and the meals; if the person does not eat breakfast, they don't have to pay for breakfast. You could buy a lunch plan, a dinner plan, a full plan or you could pay for individual meals if you want to. The person who helped me was polite and professional. The location was not ideal, but the grounds were OK. The facility is a little bit older. It shows a little bit of wear and tear, but overall it is satisfactory. They have duplexes, which are not really big but not tiny. They seemed adequate. They had laundry in each one, so that's a plus.
Arbor House of Weatherford was like little homes. It was not a great, big apartment; they were each on their own property, so you have grounds outside where you can plant something if you want to. You drive right up to your front door and park there. That is what I liked most about it. It would be a problem walking from the house to the place where you eat in the wintertime, which was not very far, but I think it might be slippery. You have to walk outside to get to the main building from your own house. Everything else I saw was great. The staff was very nice. They had a lot of indoor activities and outings to certain places.
