Description of The Waterford at Mesquite
Get a taste of real Texas living at The Waterford at Mesquite. Our independent living community in Mesquite, Texas, boasts big amenities and myriad recreational and social opportunities to keep residents inspired and excited. Our thoughtfully designed studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans feature full-sized kitchenettes and large bathrooms with walk-in showers for the space residents need to entertain family and loved ones comfortably. The community offers the privacy and freedom to live the way residents choose in comfortable surroundings with wall-to-wall carpet and patios and balconies. At the same time, we offer companionship by planning weekly outings and encouraging residents to take advantage of cozy lounge areas with big-screen TVs and a well-stocked library. Residents can say goodbye to home maintenance and housework with weekly housekeeping services and a staff member available 24 hours a day while saying hello to a relaxed lifestyle playing card or board games in the activity center or requesting an appointment for a hair style at our on-site beauty salon. There's plenty to do and see off site, too, with residents having easy access to Interstates 30 and 635 and U.S. Highway 80 that leads to a host of dining, shopping and entertainment possibilities.

The Waterford boasts a number of comforts and luxuries, so our residents can enjoy life to the fullest. Outdoor enthusiasts also will appreciate our beautifully manicured grounds to get out and take a stroll or simply enjoy a sunrise or sunset. Residents find our on-site chapel and church services convenient any time of the week. A computer area keeps residents plugged in with faraway family and friends and allows them to surf the Internet with ease. Residents can challenge their minds (and their neighbors) with a friendly card, board or billiards game in the activity center and stimulate their bodies in the dedicated exercise room.

I am/was a resident of this facility
The only facility I ever visited was The Waterford at Mesquite. That's the one I chose because I've seen it around for a long time, so that's where I went. I love it there. I have not found any staff that I don't like. I liked all of them. The people that deliver the food, the management, they're all very nice, they're all very aware of the COVID situation and make sure the residents are being careful. I have an efficiency apartment so it's small, but it's big enough for me and I like it. I like it that way. They serve food and it's good quality.

I visited this facility
Everything looked fine and fit the bill at The Waterford at Mesquite. It's all independent living, and the location was convenient for us. We had lunch there, and the food was OK. The dining hall was on another floor from the apartments, so we'd still have to take the elevator.

We were very pleased with the way everything looked at The Waterford at Mesquite. My brother and sister-in-law like it. The person who took us on a tour did great. The community seemed very friendly, very well put together, and very professional.

I visited this facility
My dad is going to be moving in to The Waterford at Mesquite in September, and we're very happy with it. The rooms were very nice. Everything seemed to be very clean and indoors, so my dad didn't have to leave the building in order to get anywhere, which was really nice. They have very nice common rooms where he can hang out and socialize with people. It was very nice. They have a very large exercise room, several activity rooms, a room dedicated to religious activities, and a very large dining room. My dad has the option to order his food to his room and take care of himself. They have a set menu, but you can still order off the menu. They try to keep it as open as possible for all the residents. Everything except for his cell phone is included in his rent, which is a big help.

I visited this facility
The Waterford at Mesquite is a nice community, but the cost is high. Our tour there was good, but they didn't have anything available right now. The staff who accommodated me was friendly, and gave me all the information that I asked. I saw a 1-bedroom apartment, although they also have a variety of accommodations. They talked about the activities that they have for their residents as well.
