VA Aid and Attendance Benefits and Housebound Allowance Veterans and their spouses receiving a standard VA pension who are housebound or need daily assistance due to mental impairment, physical disability or chronic illness may qualify for a higher benefit amount through the <a href="https://www.va.gov/pension/aid-attendance-housebound/" target="_blank" data-mce-href="https://www.va.gov/pension/aid-attendance-housebound/" rel="noopener noreferrer">Aid and Attendance Benefits or Housebound Allowance programs</a>.
