I saw Isle at Raider Ranch's assisted living and memory care. The tour guide was great and very informative. It was a great place. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a little bit of everything. They have outings and games. They need a little bit of updating. It felt like a home though.
Isle at Raider Ranch is excellent. Everything is good, and that's the reason why we decided to put a deposit down on them for my mother. The staff did a great job. He showed me around the whole place and answered any questions that I had. There was one lady resident that was doing a jigsaw puzzle, there were a couple of people doing physical activities, and there was a group that was sitting and visiting with each other.
I have friends that live in Isle at Raider Ranch. Their rooms are small, but nice. It's usually one large room with a bath, or two rooms. It's one of the better senior living communities in Lubbock. The main problem is that the staff is not that great. They have games, and tons of boxes of puzzles scattered all over the place. You can take the bus if you can get a group together to go do different things. Basically, this place is assisted living. I had some friends there with Alzheimer's, and they've actually gotten locked out of the Alzheimer's center. So the staff was not good. They don't keep up with their people very well. The amenities are very nice, and it's impressive when you walk in. Its beautifully furnished and beautifully designed.
My dad is at Raider Ranch. He enjoys living there. They work with you if there are problems and the food is very good. We are pleased. The staff is very helpful. My dad needs help with showering and dressing, so they do all that. They have a lot of activities and they have an activities director. They take the residents places, they play Bingo, and there are people who come in to do services and entertainment. It's pretty pricey though.
