We are located only a short distance away from numerous local destinations, such as shopping, restaurants and even medical facilities, all of which are easily accessible through our scheduled transportation program.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
When my parents stayed at Tarrytowne Estates, we never had a single issue with any of the staff, from the sales person to the managers, as well as the bookkeeping; they were all great. They have opened up some of their space to allow any physician to come in and work with the residents who choose to have him. He was of great quality, too, and that was not my experience elsewhere with the doctors they were working with. I was just very, very pleased with those results. They offer a variety of floor plans in the community. When she and my dad first moved there, they were moving from a larger residence, and I knew that the adjustment to a lesser space would be a concern, so we started out with a two-bedroom apartment for the two of them and then downsized to a one-bedroom. After my dad passed away, she eventually went to an efficiency type of apartment. They were all good, they had ample space, and we had no issues with it. I like the fact that they have walk-in showers, and they got rid of the old bathtubs. They really worked hard to have a good quality to what they had. They also have plenty of activities, but my mom didn't do a whole lot of them. One thing that my parents were not satisfied with from all of the other communities they went in was the food, but Tarrytown Estates has an on-site chef. They don't bring their food in, and it's always served hot. The homemade rolls and the homemade desserts are just of high quality, and that is an important aspect for senior citizens. I could not match their value anywhere else.

I visited this facility
We loved Tarrytowne Estates. The people were so friendly, nice, and the place was very clean. They have organized gaming and they were playing sit-down volleyball when we were there. It looked like it was so much fun. Everything was inclusive and they serve meals three times a day, seven days a week. The food was delicious.

My mother has moved into Tarrytowne Estates. She moved in at the end of November. It's great. It's clean and homey. It's not too big and it is very nice. They provide good food. The staff is very helpful and very nice. The dining area looks very nice. My mother went to an exercise class, but she didn't enjoy it because it was too hard for her. She went on a field trip, and she enjoyed that.

Tarrytowne Estates is a great place. My apartment is just the right size. The food is wonderful, and they serve 3 meals a day. I have a maid service, and I really like it here a lot. Everybody is really nice. There are a lot of activities like church services. There is a barber shop, a salon, and a library. The staff is very nice. The maid comes every Monday, and she's really nice and efficient. The service in the dining room is way too long, and that’s my only complaint.

I am/was a resident of this facility
I just moved into Tarrytowne Estates. It's very clean, but it is expensive. I have a nice apartment. It's a two-room apartment and I'm satisfied with it. The staff members are very good. They have an activity program if you want to participate. The food is excellent too. They serve three meals a day.

Tarrytowne Estates has been voted as the best retirement in west Houston two years in a row.When people realize that we include 3 meals a day,seven days a week with all utilities except phone and have no additional hidden fees most see the value we offer.Our community is priced far below other properties in the area due to the fact we are family owned and operated for over 30 years.Please look at our web page at Tarrytowne.com and see ALL the amenities and services we provide.No long term leases,no buy ins and customized pricing for select units.The biggest attribute we have to offer is family.You will feel like family as soon as you walk through the front door.

I visited this facility
Tarrytowne Estates was relatively new so it's really nice, but I didn't care for the way the units were set up. The rooms were smaller and clean, some of the units didn't have stoves (they had microwaves), and you could pay extra for washer and dryer connections. Basically, it seemed pretty small to me.

Thank you for considering our community.We have a number of different size units which range from 450 sq.ft to 1300 sq.ft.The smallest of the inventory will have a microwave only.Every floor in each building has their own laundry room with some apartments with hook ups.Sometimes we provide a washer/dryer for a specific unit. We are here to provide an active, safe,affordable retirement community for people looking to be part of a large family. Please come back and join us for a home made delicious meal. I visited this facility
Tarrytowne Estates had a good atmosphere, was clean, and accommodated me fine. I ate a good hamburger and fries. Everyone seemed to be pleased with the food. There was a variety of rooms. You could get a one-bedroom with a study or a two-bedroom. It would allow my parents to have enough room to be together and at the same time, enough room for them to be apart, which I like. They had washer and dryer hook ups and independent kitchen.

I visited this facility
Tarrytowne is attractive and inviting, it seems like a nice place to move into. The person who gave us the tour is fabulous. He was very nice and gave a great tour of the facility. We have a cat who loves to go outdoors, so he showed us a room downstairs that has this patio walk which would be great for us. We sat down with a couple who have been there for a year and they said they love it. The waitress came and asked what they wanted for dessert and she showed them what was available. The food looked good, although we didn't have a meal.
