The staff turnover at Solstice Senior Living at Grapevine was huge. It was either the staff member's second day or first day on duty when I got there, so they couldn't answer a lot of questions. There was not a lot of attention to detail, e.g., just little things like light switches not having covers. The parking was fine. The dining room was big and long, which was a weird layout, but it was well lit. The staff member wasn't really sure where the room was, but it was homey.

Solstice Senior Living at Grapevine was nice, but the rooms were not as large as the first one we visited. It's a beautiful place, but they could use a little more storage. It's hard to get to their location.

My mom was admitted to the rehab after a fall sent her to the hospital. Within her first week there I had a meeting with several managers and they listened to my concerns about my mom being able to go back home. They helped me get her admitted to the long term care side. Since day one, everyone I have come in cantact with from maintenance to nurses to admin and everyone in between... everyone has been friendly and helpful. They recently, within the last 6 weeks, have gotten a new business manager and she is so nice and caring. One of the first things I noticed is that there in NOT that nursing home smell that you usually smell. Everything is clean. I am so thankful for Grapevine Medical Lodge for the way that they care for my mom and everyone there.

This facility has went down in the last couple of months. Every since the new owners has taking over they brought in a new administrator that could care less about the patients needs or the family members. Not to mention that she has been cleaning house terminating all the employees that did care, and replacing them with people that's just like her. The ones that she is bringing in doesn't have the compassion for our family members like the ones she let go. When we took our love one out there was still a couple of the employees left that were there when we first came.So stay away from this place because not only does she not care for the patients she doesn't care for her good staff that was there before she came. On a good note the food was great, the maintenance worker was friendly and prompt when needed. And we loved the activities they had each day for the patients. Nursing WAS great also.
