I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother moved into Lake Arlington. They're just bought out now by Morada, and they are amazing. The staff is also amazing. When we first moved her in, we said, "Hey, this closet is broken." In 2 minutes, they were there to fix it. They're friendly and accommodating. The people there are just amazing, and her neighbors are awesome. They have a lot of stuff, but because of COVID, they aren't really doing much right now. They have a theater, an activities room, a laundromat, and all that is included, you don't pay extra for any of that. Her apartment is clean and beautiful. It's just wonderful. If I could live there, I would.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I'm at Town Village Crossing. I'm in the independent living, but they are moving assisted living people in here now. I was in before COVID, so I know what it was like, and I was thoroughly enjoying it. It felt like it's very well run, they were responsive, and they kept so many activities going, but then COVID came and everybody had to deal with it. In the first four months, we totally shut down. We had our meals served in our home, we didn't have any activities going on, and no family were allowed in. They were letting chronic caregivers come in, and some of those are family of course, but we are still being fed well, and there are people caring for us. I had a fall, and I wound up having surgery. I was in my room and they were checking on me, and that's not even a part of their plan. We don't have a nurse on staff or anything, but I love this place, and I still love it. The facility is beautiful, and it's a wonderful place to live.

I visited this facility

Fox Run Estates facility looked really great. I saw several different rooms. They didn't really have kitchens; they just had microwaves and small refrigerators. They had beautiful balconies outside the rooms, but that made the rooms smaller. It's a lovely place, and it looks to be well run. There are lots of outside walking areas, and they have a lot of activities that are of interest to me. However, I was looking at as much square footage as I could get, but part of their square footage was the balcony, which I know I wouldn't use. Also, they didn't have a big enough kitchen for me.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I have a relative at Fox Run Estates. I went there last Thursday, and I'm on my way there now. They've been great. The staff members know their residents, and they're very attentive and friendly. The food is OK; it's not bad. The place is nice, well kept, and clean, and the layout is fine. I think they have a real pretty grounds area outside. They have a bunch of spots where their residents can be outside.

I visited this facility

We have found a facility for my mom and it's Fox Run Estates. She wanted a specific room there downstairs because they have a little balcony where she could go outside. She has a little doggie that she wants to take with her. We are not moving in right now. We don't have any word that there's anything available at this moment. They said they don't have a waiting list, but we would be the first one they would call if something should come available. We like the walking trail and we like that all the independent living rooms have a balcony upstairs or downstairs. We also like all the activities that are going on, the three meals a day, the housekeeping, and the laundry. My mom will get one of those Life Alerts as well when she moves in. It's all in the price. It's great. Everyone we met, including the residents there, has been awesome. They are so kind, caring, and into elderly people. We also got good feedback from the people who live there. As we understand, they only allow so many people in their small dining room with social distancing and the rest eat in their rooms, which is very good. Everything is safe there. When we got there, we got our temperature taken. They asked us all kinds of questions before they even showed us around, and I thought that was really good, too. The facility is so pretty. When you walk in there, you'll think you're walking into a mansion with round stairs coming down. Of course, we didn't use it, we used an elevator because of Mom, but I loved it. It looks like a mansion. I would like for Mom to go in right away, but she has some medical issues. One day she is good, and one day she's not good. We have been on a lockout for independent living and then we found Fox Run Estates, and it's awesome, but she's a handful, and she's been fighting us about that.
