Everything at The Parkview was favorable. The apartments were good. The staff members were very friendly, very competent, and very professional. The dining area looked good. I had lunch there and it was good. They had a library, a game room, and an exercise area. I like this community.

I liked The Parkview, but their prices were a little bit extravagant. I liked the residents and the people that work there. The setup was real nice. I liked everything except the price. I liked the way the food was arranged. They have bingo, checkers, and a pool table. The staff was great.

The rooms at The Parkview were spacious, bright, and had very large closets. The food was very good. The building was beautiful, old, and historic. They had happy hour, wine and cheese, a piano, puzzles, and a pool table. Once you become a resident, you get a membership to the zoo and to the art museum. They would also take you to your doctors' appointments.

For the money, The Parkview is a nice place. I saw the small room, and the next one, and they were nice. It's a cheaper place, so it's not the Taj Mahal, but it's nice for what it was. They have a room where they do exercises, they had an area downstairs with a grand piano, then I saw the dining area, which was very nice, and then he showed me the rooms, and he was very nice. I thought he was really good, the director.

My dad didn't like The Parkview because they had these elevators to get to the rooms. Plus, it was a little bit more expensive than other places as well. The director was very nice and friendly. She showed us a model of one of their studio apartments. The place was OK, but I didn't like the studio set up. It seemed like they have more activities for the residents to do. They have movie nights, every Friday they have happy hour, and they have a band or some type of music. They also go on outings to different places. The place was nice and clean.

I liked The Parkview. It was an older place because it was an old hotel, so some of the furniture was originally from the 1920s. It had gas stoves, which I wasn't too keen on. The location was nice, and they offered very competitive services, like transportation to doctors, and daily outings and trips. Some of the drawbacks were that laundry was not on every floor, and the building was 10 floors which could be a problem if the resident is not too mobile. The staff that I talked to was very friendly.

The Parkview is a nice facility and beautiful on the inside. The apartments were recently upgraded and have a lot of space. They have a lot of activities throughout the week. They have happy hour, trips to attractions throughout the city, to grocery stores, arts museums, or the zoo. It's easy to get around, but the parking was not appealing. There wasn't a lot and a covered garage would be better. It costs a lot.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I was a resident of The Parkview. It was very good in the beginning, but it changed property managers. It's a very old historic building close to downtown and the art district in Memphis. It used to be a very predominant place for people to come. However, it had not been maintained. We chose to live there because of its grandeur. Initially, the property management was great. We loved working with the gentleman and all the staff until the new owners came. I have been back there and I've talked to some of the folks that still live there and some that still work there. It turned into more of an assisted living place. The food was great and they offered three meals a day. When the new owners came in, they offered a dinner brownbag on Sundays. They had transportation to shopping. They had one washer and dryer on each floor, but sometimes they were not working properly. All of the floors were not very clean, but the housekeeping people were really sweet, nice, and very accommodating. The ativities were geared to two different types of people. They had exercises. We also had a gorgeous courtyard with beautiful flowers. We had nice little watermelon, lemonade, and ice cream parties. The new property manager is doing a great job.
