My husband is at The Arbors at Willow Springs. We like Pam, the administrator. Now that I have my husband there, the people are just very sweet, friendly, and constantly in touch with me. I know he's treated really well there and I'm very happy with it. My husband seems to enjoy the food, and I like the fact that the food is always cut up in bite size. They have an event planner who does exercises with the people every morning and reads a section from the newspaper. For Christmas, they made cards and ornaments for the tree. They try to get my husband as involved as possible.

We looked at Brookdale Columbia for my mom, and it was good, but the rooms were a little small, and everything that we're going to need is going to cost extra as far as the help she needed. They had a salon and a dining room.

The residents that I saw at Brookdale Columbia were all engaged. The staff was very friendly and able to answer our questions. The place appeared to be clean.
