From the moment my father became a resident at The Lodge until his passing, the staff provided for his physical comfort and formed a deep, personal connection with him. It was real nice, but my mother ended up having to go to skilled nursing, and they don't offer that. It was the nicest one I've been in. It's modern looking and clean. The staff was real nice and friendly, and it felt homey. The dining room was nice, spacious, and well lit. I was impressed.

My parents are living at The Commons at The Willows, and they're happy there, but it doesn't have skilled nursing. The rooms are slightly undersized. They do bingo, exercises, field trips, groups come in and sing, and there's always something going on. The food used to be better before the new management. They have a large dining room, a small dining room for special occasions, there are TV rooms in both wings, and patio furniture out on the front covered porch. They have a beauty salon, somebody comes and does haircuts and permanents, and another one comes and does their nails.
