You can be assured that our assisted living and memory care community in Anderson, South Carolina, provides the quality care that will allow residents to remain as self-reliant as possible while living in a supportive environment. Our multiple floor plans feature emergency call buttons for safety and mini-blinds on all windows for privacy. The community boasts two private spas and on-site physical therapy services for comfort and convenience. Summit Court, our neighboring independent living community, offers 16 private cottages with attached garages for the ultimate in senior living. Several doctor offices on our private street are available for regular visits and less than five minutes away is AnMed Hospital in case of an emergency. We feature a full calendar of activities and social programs, as well as group outings to some of the area's finest shopping, dining and entertaining venues.

Residents are encouraged to get out and enjoy a wealth of community features or challenge each other to a friendly board or card game while socializing with their neighbors. When the weather is nice, our beautifully manicured grounds and courtyard are ideal to get outdoors and relax in the sun. Our inviting fireplace and comfortable lounge with big-screen TV are the perfect places to curl up and relax with a good book. For dining, Summit Place and neighboring Summit Court residents are treated to three meals a day, all served restaurant-style in our tastefully decorated dining room at Summit Place.

Available Services

Residents have access to a choice of home health agencies that provide regular personal care assessments. Our prompt and courteous staff members are available 24 hours a day and offer medication reminders, special nutritional counseling, incontinence care and escort and transfer assistance depending on the level of care needed. Residents can have their care plans tailored to also include medication administration, and bathing, dressing and grooming assistance. Our residents stay active with regular wellness, walking, balance and exercise classes. We also offer on-site physical therapy services as needed. Summit Court, our neighboring community, offers independent living with additional housekeeping and laundry services that can be obtained.

I Am A Friend Or Relative Of A Current/Past Resident

I thought Summit Place would be good for my husband, but I was disappointed, and I didn't think they handled the situation well. He was in memory care. They pushed me out before he had the chance to adjust, and they decided he needed a psychiatric eval. However, the room was good, spacious, and very nice.

I Visited This Facility

Summit Place of Anderson was very nice and very neat. The dining area was clean and there seemed to be enough room for everybody. The staff was very nice. They had a library and an activity room. The apartments were nice, too.

Summit Place was very nice and top notch. It was very attractive on the outside. The staff was helpful. They showed us all their apartments and rooms.

Summit Place of Anderson has nice people and is in a nice area. They also have excellent care. My mom has a 1-bedroom with a bed and a small kitchenette. They have different activities like day trips, exercising, and puzzles.
