I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

It's not a good place to live there are drug dealers and prostitutes and bugs in the building do not recommend renting here.

I live in Richmond Place. It's a nice place, and the staff for the most part is friendly. The meals are not good though. My room is clean and comfortable. They have a group that does personal services, and we have quite a few activities.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I'm currently staying at Richmond Place in Lexington, and it's been very disappointing to me. They don't even come by and make sure you're still alive each day; that's what disappointed me. I feel like they should. They delivered meals when COVID was really bad, but it has been gone out here, so they quit delivering meals. That means no one will come to your door to make sure you're still living. They have a pull-cord by the commode, but what if you're in the living room and you can't get there? That's my concern, because my heart is bad, and I would never make it from the living room to the bathroom. That's why I'm leaving. They've stopped the meal delivery, so if you don't feel like you can't go to the cafeteria and eat, then you're going to have to do your own meal. I'm staying in a one-bedroom, it's a nice size, and it's bigger than most apartments that you rent. Someone comes in once a week to clean it, and it's not bad that way. They do the upkeep for you. My major concern is that they don't check in the morning to see if you're OK. The staff do what they need to do, and won't do any more. They have bingo and some other things during the week, but to me, I just feel like I walked into a group, and they didn't want anybody else to come into their group. That's how I feel since I've been here. They've got their little cliques and they stay with them. What they don't do also is let you know that the activities have three levels here. Some of them take place and they don't give you anything that tells you what day, what floor, and what time it will take place. They don't walk you around when you get there. They put you in a room and you're responsible to find all the stuff out, no one helps you. The pricing, I would say it's worth what they charge.

My parents love Courtyard Retirement & Assisted Living. At first, the $5100 a month seemed awfully expensive, but when you break it down for two people, you are looking at about $2600 a month. They have a private pond in the back where one of the nurses will take my dad out to go fishing for a while, and he really loves that. He is ninety-one and has been a sportsman all his life. In general, everything seems to be fine. They got an apartment with two bedrooms and two baths, so there is plenty of room for them, and they like it. Mama was wondering about the beauty parlor and I told her, "All you have to do is go in there," but of course you have to make an appointment first. I've heard from them that they both like the food, too. My mom likes to walk, and the way that this place is built, she can turn around and do as much walking as she wants and still be inside, since they can't go outside due to the pandemic. It's shaped like a big square with places along the way and a whole bunch of windows where they can look outside while walking. There is also a courtyard where she can sit down and look outside.

My mom is very happy at Hartland Hills. We were going to put her in another facility, but then they had a COVID outbreak, so we had to go to Hartland Hills, and it's one of our choices. The facility is more open. They allowed us to visit and take care of her pills, her laundry, and things like that; otherwise, we would have to pay for it. They have lots of nice, elegant furniture, which appeals to the residents. They have lots of activities like cards, bingo, movie nights, exercises, and Wii Bowling. The meals are delivered for now. They are just very nice to their residents. The apartment she's in is very spacious and comfortable, too.

I visited this facility

Heartis Fayetteville was a very nice facility. The people we met were very nice and friendly. The rooms were nice, too; it was even our number-two choice. The building was great. It was new, but with COVID, we only saw one room.

My mom likes it, and she has been doing well so far. She said the staff is really helpful. We chose it because it was closer to my sister. The meals are included there, and they do some games or do the basics, which is what she needs -- something to keep her busy and have her socialize. She also says the food is excellent.

I visited this facility

Richmond Place came to visit me, and I was very impressed with how they were. I went to see them, and it's a wonderful place, far better than where I am. They had a full gamut of workers there. Everybody was kind and I was overwhelmed by how lovely everyone was. It's much different from where I am today. My room is going to be on the 2nd floor, and it will be a 1-bedroom. The whole place was lovely, very, very warm and welcoming. It was larger and warmer and more welcoming than where I am, and the people there were lovely. I was taken by the kindness and warmth of the young ladies that took me around. I can't say enough about it. I think they had a lot of activities there. I already had a sample of their dinners, and they were very, very nice. I truly am looking forward to the change. The place was just absolutely beautiful and had lots of amenities. They had everything. They had a wonderful and full staff. I was very impressed. The kindness of the young ladies was just unbelievable. They're sweet, kind, and warm, and the whole place felt like that.

I have my wife in respite care at Hope Center Memory Care. It seems to be a very nice place. They're taking very good care of my wife, and they work with their neurologist to get my wife's medications leveled out. I haven't observed the food because you can't go in to visit, but she seems to be doing well and they tell me she's really eating well. Communication is very good. I'm very satisfied.
