Residential State Supplement Program Ohio’s <a href="https://mha.ohio.gov/Families-Children-and-Adults/For-Adults/Housing-Assistance/Residential-State-Supplement" target="_blank" data-mce-href="https://mha.ohio.gov/Families-Children-and-Adults/For-Adults/Housing-Assistance/Residential-State-Supplement" rel="noopener noreferrer">Residential State Supplement program</a> may provide financial assistance to seniors in assisted living facilities.&nbsp;Funds are used to pay for the full cost of room and board as well as services provided in these facilities. Seniors receive a personal needs allowance of at least $200 per month. Seniors may qualify for this program if they: 
<li>Earn less than $1,300 per month</li>
<li>Own less than $2,000 in assets</li>
<li>Are eligible for regular Medicaid</li>
<li>Receive SSI, SSDI or Social Security</li>
<li>Need at least a protective level of care</li>
<li>Plan to live in an eligible living arrangement</li>
 Eligible living arrangements are generally adult care facilities. These facilities house&nbsp;<a href="https://aspe.hhs.gov/report/state-residential-care-and-assisted-living-policy-2004/ohio" target="_blank" data-mce-href="https://aspe.hhs.gov/report/state-residential-care-and-assisted-living-policy-2004/ohio" rel="noopener noreferrer">up to 16</a> residents. In some cases, seniors may get approval to live in assisted living facilities with 17 or more residents.
