Brookdale Wilmington (formerly Clare Bridge of Wilmington) is warm and inviting senior community providing specialized Alzheimer's and dementia care and services. Located in the charming city of Wilmington, our campus is central to many services, shopping, and the New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Through the Clare Bridge Daily Path, we provide stimulation, stability, and structure in a soothing environment that preserves the feeling of home. Brookdale Wilmington offers an intimate environment, which is ideal for individuals who have experienced memory loss. Special features of our community include large circular paths that lead residents to areas of activity, way-finding cues, and small spaces decorated like a home. Our alarmed exterior doors and enclosed outdoor courtyards give residents a sense of safety, while at the same time freedom to explore surroundings.

Our private and companion suites are bright and cheery, with private baths and emergency call systems. Living spaces can be furnished with residents' personal belongings and important mementos, which is key in helping to identify personal areas.

Available Services

The Clare Bridge Daily Path offers a program of “familiarity through daily living” for those with Alzheimer's and various types and levels of dementia. Our specialized programming provides mental stimulation and reminiscing, physical exercise, and group activities that provide meaning and purpose to residents' lives.

Our chefs are masters at creating favorite traditional meals, which we've incorporated into our award-winning, dementia-friendly dining program, designed to help residents successfully master and enjoy their dining experiences.
