Nestled among the native long-leaf pines in the heart of the Tar Heel State, Sunrise of Raleigh is an inviting senior community dedicated to serving assisted living, memory care and short-term stay residents with excellence and compassion. Conveniently located west of Highway 70, our community is minutes from shopping, restaurants and banking options. Our resident-centered approach allows seniors to live as independently as possible, while providing an inviting community that’s safe, comfortable and, above all, homelike.
Sunrise of Raleigh is owned and managed by Sunrise Senior Living. Founded by Paul and Terry Klaassen in 1981, Sunrise started with a simple vision: to create senior living that champions the quality of life for all seniors.

Available Services
Life at Sunrise of Raleigh is maintenance free with weekly housekeeping and laundry service provided for all residences. Residents elect to receive help as needed with daily tasks, including bathing, personal hygiene and medication reminders from our dedicated staff.
Our specialized services meet the needs of residents with Alzheimer’s or other memory impairments. We provide an engaging selection of social, educational and recreational programs that include scheduled transportation to off-site events.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
Sunrise of Raleigh was warm and inviting. It was very clean and seemed to have a lot of activities for the people living there. We wanted to put my husband's mother somewhere between us and her other son, so it's pretty much a central location too. They have daily structured activities and they take them out of their rooms every day for their meals. They also have wine time in the afternoons. The staff is very attentive and caring. The place is kind of pricey.

Sunrise is a little older. I did not notice a PA on each floor. There was a group of people being read to in the memory unit. They all seemed to be listening and enjoying it.

I visited this facility
Sunrise of Raleigh was very pretty and expensive, but it's right in the city. My sister may have gotten a little lost in the crowd there because it seemed a little too big. The regular assisted living starts at $6,200, and if you had to add Alzheimer's care, it's almost close to $10,000 a month. There were four levels of medication requirements and that was expensive, too. The rooms were a great size, the dining facilities looked really nice, and the way they did the medications was really neat.
