My ex-husband will be moving in to Heritage Place in February. I have been there myself to bring his stuff and clean up because we're already moving him in slowly. The people there are friendly and helpful. I love it there. It's a good place for him to be because it is right around the corner from the VA Medical Center, so if there's any problem or issue, they could get right at it. It's also clean. I like the way it looked, and he will be staying on the 1st floor, which is a good thing.

We're very pleased with Highland House. They're taking very good care of my friend. It's an older nursing home, but it's clean and very nice. The staff is very nice and extremely good to her. They do Bingo, and they had some Christmas programs. My friend eats the food and have no complaints about it. Her apartment is spacious and very well lit.

My friend moved to Heritage Place. So far, the price was better than all the other places, and all in all a pretty good quality care. She's in the assisted living side, but we want to get her to eventually independent living side, but it's not the need right now. The only hiccup is you have to provide your own bed and furniture. We ate there last Friday and it was pretty good. They did bingo, they take them to church, and they take them out shopping. They also have chair exercises. They have a beautiful scenery, a little creek that goes around the facility, and it's very beautiful. It's downtown so they have a lot of places they could go to downtown, they have a catholic church next door, and they have singing time, and playing classical music in the independent living side.

Heritage Place was a nice place. They showed us the lobby, the cafeteria, and the one- and two-bedroom places. They were nice, but my aunt liked the one-bedroom better. The staff member answered all our questions and showed us around. She was right there to meet us when we walked in. The facility was real clean and the rooms were spacious.

For a small, private room in Carolina Inn at Village Green, you pay $3,765, which sounded great, but then, unfortunately depending on your level of care, they might add on $1,125, so that would bring it up a little under $6,000 for level 1. Most of the people were on Medicaid. I visited it only for a short period of time, but the lady that I met was absolutely wonderful.

Heritage Place is where I would really like my friend to end up in. Their independent living place is absolutely fantastic. There's a great small apartment that she could stay in. She has to buy a bed and a few things because they literally rent you an empty room. The manager is absolutely fantastic. The dining room looks great. Heritage Place is like a big hotel with a beautiful foyer. The rooms upstairs had small balconies. It is a lovely place. I think my friend would be happy there.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I have been staying at Heritage Place for two weeks. The staff is very helpful. Residents who live here are very friendly and help each other out. I have a one-bedroom apartment, but they also have two-bedroom apartments on the independent living side. They have bingo, cheese and wine, a beauty shop that can do haircuts and fingernails, and a washer and dryer on two of the floors. You can get your own laundry service done by the month. There's a wide variety of foods you can choose from. They have a treadmill, a library, and a theater.

The staff member at Carillon showed us everything as well as what was available. She was also very informative. The rooms were a little bit smaller than I expected, but they were fine. I didn't notice anything unpleasant.

Carillon Assisted Living was very nice, very bright, and very clean. The facility was excellent and very spacious. It's the nicest facility I visited. It looked fresh, and the looks on the staff's faces showed how they enjoyed working there. I only met the director.
