I visited this facility

Crescent Heights was very nice and accommodating. The cost is just higher than our combined income. The staff who showed us around was very helpful. They gave us a complete guided tour of the facility and checked back in with us. She was very thorough with her presentation. They have a barber shop and a beauty salon on the premises. The layout was wonderful.

The apartments at Crescent Heights were very nice and very spacious. They have a library, a game room, and a puzzle room. The food looked pretty good. They have a courtyard. The facility was well-maintained.

Crescent Heights is a pretty good place. Geographically, it's close to the senior center, doctors, and our home. They have a dining area, but no kitchens in the apartments. They have activities for the residents, trips, and so on.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Crescent Heights is maintained really well, and the people there are really good. My dad is supplied with meals and the two chefs are doing a fine job. They would come out unannounced during each meal to check on the residents, so they're cared for really well. There's a girl that comes once a month for yoga, there are exercise classes, walking, and low impact chair exercises. They have their own beauty and barber shop. If you need a maintenance person, somebody will come within an hour to take care of the things you need to have done. Every Friday, they get Dad's place cleaned and they make his bed. I have nothing bad to say about them. As soon as you walk in, it feels like you are on a cruise ship. Their staff is excellent, and their price is very reasonable, too.

I visited this facility

We saw a community at Concord called Crescent Heights. It's way too far from me. They had a nice facility, we were impressed with the place and my sister liked the idea of independence. But by the time we got there, with all the road turns, I don't know how many times we got turned around even with the GPS. I felt that it was way too far from us. They're outdated too. Their carpeting, their common areas and their community areas. Everything really needs updating. It's like they're stuck in the 60's. The size of the apartment there was fine. I think my sister looked at a 1-bedroom unit which had a separate bedroom. I don't know if it had a cook top or not but I remember there was a sort of an apartment size refrigerator. Smaller than the average person has in their house but it would be enough for her. The staff was wonderful. One thing that we noticed was that their activities seemed to be not as varied as they would need to be for my sister. There was a lot of Bingo nights and that sort of thing and she doesn't do Bingo and she doesn't play a lot of cards. She prefers more intellectual pursuits to keep her brain active like lectures and that sort of thing so they didn't really have a whole lot going on there. I think that because they are an independent living facility, you're pretty much expected to do your own thing. There wasn't that much available and that's not what she's looking for.

I visited this facility

We enjoyed our visit with Crescent Heights. They showed us some apartments; they looked very nice. I was impressed with the gardens, the shrubbery, and just the lawn in general. It was very inviting and seemed very clean, and I did see some residents wandering about, engaging in conversation, and social activities. I was impressed with it overall.
