I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My sister moved into Solstice Senior Living at East Amherst. It's a very nice place, it looks clean, updated, bright, cheerful, and it's a lot better than the other place we had checked out. I was told they had a long list of activities. They have a transportation service, they have a billiard room, they have a speaker room, like a small auditorium, they have a small gym, and so it's like a little village in a building.

Solstice Senior Living at East Amherst was nice. The best part was the dining area, but the rooms were small and I didn't care for them. The staff was very helpful and very nice.

The rooms seemed to be adequate. We only met one person, and he was very nice. There were a couple of open areas.

I visited this facility

Our tour was very well-conducted. They showed us the dining room, which is a beautiful layout, and extremely well done. The indoor decor and decorations are outstanding. The place was very spacious, well-decorated, and well-attended. They have three meals a day, with big meals at noon.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I have been here for 7 years now. I have a 1-bedroom apartment and a housekeeper that comes around every week to clean the bed, house, and the bathroom. I'm quite pleased with my room -- I'm even sitting on the little balcony right now. They have a large activity room and different games, like Bingo three times a week, and other entertainment also comes in once a week. They also have things going on during the day, like right now there's a word game happening. We also get three meals a day. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, I have no problem with them at all. The price is a bit too much, but I'm satisfied with it.

I Visited This Community

My impression of Montgomery Park was very good. I would recommend it to anyone, but it is a little difficult to get there as far as distance and traffic. They’re fantastic. If I didn’t go see the another facility, I would have put my brother there.

I Visited This Community

We had a very lovely experience at Montgomery Park. It’s a beautiful facility and very complete. If I were older, I would love to live there myself. The food was wonderful, the apartments were very generously sized and very new, and the residents were very lovely and welcoming. There was a beauty parlor, a workout area, laundry facilities, and occupational therapy within the same property. We observed a party where they were making sundaes. We also observed some residents playing cards. The dining area was lovely and lunch was very delicious; we ordered off the menu.

Montgomery Park was nice. Mom really liked it, but the price wasn’t within her budget. It was her favorite among all the facilities we’ve visited. The staff was wonderful, from the people working in the dining hall to the director who gave us the tour. Even the residents were very friendly. It was a very pleasant experience. They offered us free lunch, and the food was excellent. The rooms were nice. The decor of the place was very warm. Mom really felt comfortable and badly wanted to go there.
