I saw both assisted living and memory care at Atria Cranford. It was nice. Everything was pretty much set up nicely, as far as where the residents were able to go and the activities. They had a huge schedule board, and they rotate month by month. Each day has a list of activities, so the residents have options, and they can choose what they want to do. Family members can video call their loved ones. It's like a FaceTime chat with your loved ones, which is pretty convenient. I only dealt with the young lady with whom I had the meeting. When we came inside the door, we had to get a rapid test done, but I didn't really come in contact with too many of the workers there. They had plenty of options to keep the residents busy and active. For those who will be placed in memory care, it's a little bit more hands on, which is good. I didn't get to meet too many people. I like the structure of the building. It felt somewhat homey, which could be very soothing for the residents. They even had a pretty cool fireplace in the common area with a big-old piano. The outdoor sitting area was very nice. When the weather gets much better, it would be fun for them.

The community center offers a free shuttle service to seniors, both to the community center and, on certain days, to other destinations in town. They also offer health and wellness counseling, including blood pressure screenings and weight counseling. In addition, the center offers a senior handyman program for qualified seniors age 62 and up. Most senior clubs meet weekly for various other social, recreational, educational, and cultural activities, such as yoga, bowling, canasta, mahjongg, pinochle, crochet, painting, and bridge.
