I'm staying at Carson Plaza. I do beanbag baseball, bocce ball, Trivial Pursuit, movie night, lunch and dinner, and music. The workers are friendly and helpful. The place is clean and well taken care of. It's not new, but they've kept it up well. The facilities and the amenities are good. They have an area with a gazebo, facilities for sitting, reading and picnics if the weather is good, and a dog park.

Carson Plaza is not as large and not as good as the other place I visited, but it's still definitely good and a little bit less expensive. We're talking a serious amount of money that you need, like $3,000 a month to stay there and you need to have some good financial resources to stay there. You can have a variety of sizes in the rooms, like one-bedroom, large studio, or small studio, but I don't think they have as many options for two-bedrooms. They were adequate, not huge apartment sizes. The reason I dropped out from serious consideration is that I can't justify spending that type of money. They weren't as great as the other places I've visited. But they were friendly, definitely adequate as far as the size of the rooms. The only thing I saw when I visited was people eating, and I didn't see any activities going on. I saw where they would do something in the large room there. The dining room was larger, as I recall, than the other communities I've been to, but it's definitely adequate for independent living. It's an option that I would definitely consider. The only thing that I felt which is subjective, was that it's not in the best place or prettiest place in Carson City. It's in a mediocre part of the city, but the actual place, the rooms, activity rooms and so forth are OK. Driving to the place didn't impress me.

Carson Plaza was a very nice place. It would fit anybody looking for a place like that, including myself. If I had my decision right now, I might go there. There were a lot of good amenities to it. The rooms were nice. I looked at the studio and the one- and two-bedrooms. I've had meals there, and I visited with people.

I liked Carson Plaza. Everybody seemed to be happy and getting along. We had lunch there. However, we would not consider moving there because of their eating schedule. My husband and I like to eat later, so we would want to go some place that is more flexible about the eating schedule. They have all kinds of things going on, like card playing. It's a very busy place. They have a person involved in being sure there are things going on. The staff was wonderful. They have a beauty parlor, a manicurist, and things like that. It was a very nice visit.

I chose Carson Plaza. It was clean, a good size, and they have very friendly people working there. I got good recommendations from the staff that worked there, they've been there a long time, and they were raving about the place. My parents have been there about three weeks. They're happy with the food and with the people there. They have a lot of activities to keep them busy. I highly recommend the place.
