My father is in Tendernest Assisted Living. I've been happy with everything there. We haven't had any problems or anything. The staff is really friendly, and I haven't had any problems with them. When I call it seems like we communicate well, and I know what's going on all the time. He has enough room. He has a bed, his chair, his TV, and his bathroom, so he's pretty comfortable. He said he played bingo one time. It's a good value for your money because things like medication, laundry, and help with the bathing, all that is something other places charge for, and it's all included in one monthly fee for us. I liked that, because you know what it's going to be for one thing.

I'm a current resident of Aspen View. They're part of the Holiday Corporation out in Florida. It's $4000 a month, and they tell me $1000 over goes to food. However, the food that they put out here wouldn't be a fit for a hog down in Arkansas. We got lucky and got a 2-bedroom-2-bath cottage. They call them garden cottages. Other than that, everybody else is quite a bit older than me and my wife. I'm 80, but we're independent, and we go, go, go all the time. We don't fit here because everybody else is pretty much confined and quite a bit older than we are. The staff is wonderful. They provide transportation to the hospital if you need it. My wife and I each have a car. She goes one way for a doctor's appointment and I go another way for a doctor's appointment. They got everything, a barbershop, a pool room, and nights out to the movies. They have cafeterias that we can't even eat in because of the Covid-19. They have it closed down most of the time since we got here in May or July. We have the food delivered to us by young teenagers, and they spilled it on the trays 99% of the time. The food is not prepared very well. The manager is trying to do a lot of things, but he just can't do it. He got one lady that has more horsepower and more guts to take care of those teenagers and the cook. The cook is a wannabe; he is not much of a cook. I don't participate in activities, but they have just about everything you would want for an old person to do. Bands are held out in front of the buildings, but of course, we are all wearing masks. They're pretty good music, some of the best that Billings have. However, the price is way too high. They also need a new manager. I really like the manager here, but he is spineless with the help. They got an independent contractor that goes out trying to get people to come in here, and he is the most disrespectful and discourteous person that I have ever met.

Aspen View is great. So far, it has been nice. It was the first one I visited. I have been here for a month now in a studio apartment. They have all kinds of activities, a game room, a TV room, a computer, and a garden. The food has been good so far, but I don't eat breakfast all the time. They seem to serve sausages a lot, but I don't like sausages. I wish they put everything on the menu.
