Rakhma means "unconditional love" in Aramaic, and our story began in 1994, when Shirley Joy Shaw embarked on her mission to preserve the dignity of those living with memory loss by providing compassionate, loving care in a familiar home setting. Today, there are three Rakhma Homes: Rakhma Peace in Minneapolis, Rakhma Joy in St. Paul and Rakhma Grace in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Each Rakhma Home serves 10-12 residents, providing assisted living, Alzheimer's care, skilled nursing, hospice, short-term care, respite and in-home care.

Our home features well-lit rooms, and spacious common areas with plenty of comfortable seating. Our home has available cable television, window treatments and bathrooms with safety features. Commonareas include a living room, as well as well-appointed dining room and full kitchen.

Our courteous staff and caregivers prepare nutritious and balanced meals, three times a day, and can serve options for those with dietary restrictions. Because personally engaging activities are essential to residents’ wellbeing, we match our activities, whether fitness, social or spiritual, to individual interests in a personalized way that larger facilities simply cannot.

With our caregivers on-site to handle the routine daily chores of housekeeping, there’s no need to worry about the hassles of home maintenance. Tasks such as laundry or linens are handled by our staff as well, so those with mobility issues can live in comfort.
