Glen Eagle is independent living except they prepare my mother-in-law's medications. It's a beautiful place. It reminds me of a cruise ship. In the center where the dining room is, you can see all the different levels. Everybody's super friendly. There are lots of activities. Anything we need, they help us with. She has a two-bedroom apartment, but there's a one-bedroom and a studio available. She's gone to a couple of different activities, and I've heard them announce them. I haven't gone and observed the activities, but they make sure she knows about them. They have a beauty salon and a library. You name it, they got it. The food is well balanced, but pretty cafeteria type. The facility is well-organized.

I was not eager to pursue anything with Glen Eagle. They had exercise programs and cleaning facilities. It was good, but the atmosphere was not something that appealed to me. If I got to the place where I really needed help, it would be okay. It impressed me as being more of a nursing home type situation than a living area. The residents there liked it, and there were a lot of them there. The staff during the tour was a typical salesperson. It didn't feel real personal, but he showed us everything.

Glen Eagle's people were very polite, they showed us around, and gave us lunch. It seemed like a nice, clean, and well-kept place. The prices were reasonable. The thing that stood out to me was there were enough people there to provide companionship for my mother-in-law, and they're not all folks who are just sit around playing Bingo, which is a positive thing. There were things to do with enough variety. They showed us some good apartments.
