My mom had nursing care at Park Village Pines. The staff was good. The rooms were good. My mom had a double room and a good second person in there. My mom was there for 15 months. The place is very nicely-situated, easy to get to, and a nice community. I have an aunt who still lives there, and it's been good for her too. The food was good. I appreciated that they had an area that was walkable, and it was nice that they had a church service on Sunday.

My parents will be moving into Heritage Community of Kalamazoo. I like the size and I like that their nursing staff and their whole staff is employed by them and not contracted. I had contact with Maria Charles and she was very helpful and responsive. I liked that their food was prepared on-site and wasn't brought in, which was definitely a plus. They have a library, a physical therapist on-site, they offer free laundry, they do linens, it's pet-friendly, and they have transportation available to any place, not just doctors' appointments.
