Tucked into the serene countryside of Central Michigan, Winter Village retirement community offers a welcoming and cozy setting with all the urban conveniences of living in the Tri-Cities region. The Pines of Burton is a campus community, located in Burton, Michigan, which consists of three distinct facilities that cater to the specific needs of our residents. Our Assisted Living facility boasts a tranquil and village-like setting that promotes a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Memory Care South specializes in the care of individuals diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease and Dementia. 

Memory Care North specializes in the care of individuals suffering from later stages of Alzheimer's disease and Dementia. The goal of all three of our communities is to create a safe, caring and stimulating the environment for our residents, offering their loved one's peace of mind.

Each building suits the specific needs of our residents. Twenty Assisted Living units are laid out in a village-like setting. The Pines of Burton Assisted Living building is approximately 200 yards to the east on a separate parcel. We are locked from the outside so no one can just come in. When the door is opened a "bell/alarm" of sorts goes off to alarm staff of the door opening.

We or the family can call and inform them, some family we are able to text with, email, visiting, etc. Many different ways to contact about family!

The Director assesses residents heath with the state licensing departments paperwork. The assessment is repeated annually or as needed if a change occurs.

It is in a rural area right across from Buell Lake but more traffic goes by than you would think!

At this time we do not offer transportation.

We accept them for visiting not to live here.

Age ranges from 72-95 years old. They like to visit, play musical instruments, got out on our beautiful covered porch, play cards, watch television, do puzzles, etc.

Buell Lake Park, Senior Center in Thetford Township, Clio Senior Center or the Otisville Senior Center

They get yearly evaluations and training "packets" from our facility to go over and read! 

What ongoing senior care training does the staff receive?

Daytime hours there is a 1:6 ratio sometimes more staff than that even. For nighttime hours it will be the same ratio 1:6 except a few hours in the night where it will be more residents per staff member.

We have an al carte breakfast menu and we make a variety of meals and plenty of snacks!
