Description of Grainhouse Grove
Life looks pretty good from the front porch of our country-style ranch house, here at Brookdale Battle Creek II (formerly Clare Bridge of Battle Creek). It's a cozy setting for the extraordinary Alzheimer's and dementia care options we provide to seniors. Our community features peaceful surroundings and a homelike ambiance designed to recreate environments people have enjoyed throughout their lives. Through our carefully selected staff and specialized Daily Moments of Success programming, we are able to offer highly individualized care that allows residents to feel a sense of reassurance and meaning in their everyday lives.
Brookdale Battle Creek II is a Brookdale community. At Brookdale, knowing that we make a positive difference in the daily lives of our residents is what fuels our commitment 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Featured Amenities
Brookdale Battle Creek II was designed to be a comfortable, beautiful, and above all, safe environment for the residents that call our community home. We have incorporated many special features to aide those who experience memory loss: large circular paths that lead residents to areas of activity, way-finding cues and small spaces decorated like home.
All external doors are alarmed, and we have a number of enclosed walking areas, so residents have the opportunity to move around and explore as they please without fear of getting lost or finding themselves in danger.
Our studio apartments are bright and cheery with private bathrooms. They come either furnished or unfurnished, allowing residents to decorate with personal belongings and special mementos. Small pets are also welcomed to make residents feel right at home.
Available Services
The Clare Bridge Daily Path allows us to focus on the individual needs of each resident and family we serve. Our services are built around maintaining structure in each day, while still offering the mental and physical stimulation our residents require for good health.
We have designed individual and group activities that offer a sense of purpose, meaning and belonging to our residents.
Our dining program includes dementia-friendly menus, individualized dining assistance, consistent seating arrangements and a supportive environment.

It was a very clean place. I liked that it was small, I believe that only 19 residents could live there, so there was a lot of individual attention and care. The head nurse was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The marketing girl gave me a great tour, and just shared a lot of information with me, and a lot of helpful tools that I would have been able to use. The activities looked really great. They have a chef that did home made desserts for the residents. It was really very nice. The nurse was willing to get hospice for my mom, and told me all the things hospice does. It was a very likeable place. They were very thorough as well.

It was beautiful, with beautiful facilities. The lady was hospitable, and she gave us a tour of all the rooms and stuff. They take the residents out to eat and do nice assisted living type activities. The residents were eating while we were there, and while the others were going out to eat a restaurant. The food menu was very appealing. I really liked what I saw, and it had kind of a homey atmosphere.
