Settled in the heart of New Orlean's Garden District, HomeLife in the Gardens offers Louisiana seniors, who no longer want the hassle of home ownership or can no longer live independently, a home where assistance is available when needed. Our community is located just off of Magazine Street and has many restaurants and shops within walking distance; for added piece of mind the Touri Infirmary Hospital is within three blocks.
Featured Amenities
Our residents are happy to find a choice of private studio and one-bedroom apartments. Each maintenance-free apartment comes with a kitchenette, private bathroom and individual climate control with air conditioning. All utilities are included in the monthly rent include local phone and satellite TV.
HomeLife in the Gardens prepares three healthy meals each day, with snacks and beverages available whenever residents desire. Our Activities Director crafts a full schedule of events, including fitness routines, fun games and shopping trips, which are intended to engage both the body and the mind.
Available Services
Our helpful staff handles the basics such as maintenance, housekeeping services and we can even take care of the laundry and linens. Scheduled transportation is available to get you to doctor’s appointments or even local shopping trips throughout the week. For added convenience we have an on-site beauty salon.
At HomeLife in the Gardens, we are focused on providing wellness solutions to our residents so they can thrive and live a full life. We craft a care plan for each resident, and our caregivers are there to assist with activities of daily living such as mobility, grooming, bathing, and medication management. With 24-hour awake staff and an emergency response system we will be there to respond to any resident needs or concerns.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My dad moved into Homelife in the Gardens last week, and everything seems to be going pretty well. I was very impressed. They serve three meals a day, and do laundry and housekeeping once a week. They had bingo, a jazz band, and my sister was able to get her hair done. Everybody took time to greet us, and they went above and beyond to make sure my father and sister were taken care of. The value was comparable to the others.

I visited this facility
I thought the location of HomeLife in the Gardens was good, but the facilities weren't as good. They were old, rundown, and not updated. The only thing I did like was the location because it was right in New Orleans. I would go somewhere nicer. The staff members were very nice, kind, and generous. They had some activities. The dining area looked OK, but the the building and everything was old. It wasn't that nice. Everyone seemed happy. It was run OK, but it's old.
