Description of The Forum at Brookside
A full-service retirement community set upon 40 scenic acres in eastern Louisville, The Forum at Brookside caters to seniors who want to enjoy all the comforts of home without all the hassles of home maintenance. We offer a range a senior care options from independent living to skilled nursing and rehabilitation services.
The Forum at Brookside is managed by Five Star Senior Living. Five Star is a healthcare and senior living services provider that operates independent and assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation hospitals, institutional pharmacies and outpatient health rehabilitation clinics throughout 30 states.

To help residents make the most out of their retirement, our full-time Activity Director plans a full schedule of daily events and activities. From Aquacize classes and themed dinners to our annual Labor Day BBQ and resident dog show, there is always something fun happening at The Forum at Brookside.
Residents may also enjoy taking a dip in our heated, indoor swimming pool, meeting with friends at our community clubhouse, reading a book in our well-stocked library or working up a sweat in our fitness center that features state-of-the-art equipment and two flat-screen TVs.
Available Services
We have worked hard to make life at The Forum at Brookside truly carefree from start to finish. Our dedicated Move-in Coordinator will help ease your move, bringing in a downsizing service if needed, and we host a Newcomers Club for incoming residents. We provide regularly scheduled transportation to local destinations and even charter luxury coaches for overnight trips. Housekeeping, linen and concierge services are also included.
For seniors in need of skilled nursing care, we provide 24-hour accommodations and care. We provide physical, occupational and speech therapy on site and can coordinate other physician services. Housekeeping, transportation, daily meals and personal care services are also provided.

I visited this facility
The Forum at Brookside was a bit expensive and a little bit too large for what I was looking for. It reminded me of a college campus more than a nursing facility for elderly people. The staff was very nice and very attentive. They had individual homes in the back, but all those roads in the back needed infrastructure work on them. I thought that was discouraging because with the amount of money they were charging, they should have been in better repair. It had both assisted and independent living.
