I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My mother was at Brookdale Overland Park. The food was bad and the staff was not very good. We were not impressed. It looked clean and it was OK, but there were a lot of other places that looked better. The staff members had to be reminded of things, like giving her a shower. There was no way we were going to put her in there. The food didn't taste very good and there wasn't a lot of it. They bring it to your table and the service was not good. They had enough activities.

I am/was a resident of this facility
I was in rehab at Brookdale Overland Park. My room was fine, but the place was more like a hospital. I had a modest but fine studio apartment and it was furnished for me. It was pretty institutional. I liked the staff since they were very friendly, caring, and kind. They had cards, Bingo, a library, lots of puzzles and books, and a computer. The food was fine, but it wasn't terrific. It was expensive, but I got a pretty good value for my money.
